Niko, it was somewhat sad to say, was expecting this. Drawing his own sword he swiftly stepped a few paces out of the way, bringing his sword down in a defensive position. Once again, he wasn't going to go onto the offensive against a kid.

Athanaric turned, if not particularly gracefully, and continued his charge, swiftly stepping to the side though as he reached Niko and striking. He'd thought to at least get a little better at these things, at the very least.

Niko gritted his teeth as his blade whipped down to parry the blow. Why Anthanaric was attacking him again he couldn't understand. Yet, it wasn't going to be like last time. Oh no, he wasn't going to let himself be put in that position yet again. His face grim, he stepped to the side once more, putting himself behind the boy. Here he'd have a good shot, but he wasn't going to take it.

Bic: Niko whirled to the side as well, wincing as a muscle near the old fight wound pulled the wrong way. With ease he blocked the blow, finding himself distracted by the shadows. He could hear scampers and the sound of claws on stone. Were the gnawers back once again? He hoped not.

Niko turned and stumbled backwards as the flier missed him by inches. Staring at the jet-black flier, he nearly dropped his weapon. The flier was HUGE!!!!!!!! Heart beating fast, he turned to Anthanaric. "Who is that?!" He asked, fight forgotten.

Athanaric merely blinked, even as the flyer turned with expert precision and shot off into the darkness. Yet then, footsteps echoed behind them in the then-silent cave, and from the shadows stepped Athanasios, as if nothing had happened to make any of this at all unusual. Walking forward with a steady pace, he soon reached where Niko and Athanaric were, and simply placed a hand on Athanaric's shoulder.

Bic: Niko turned his head and, surprised to see Athanasios appear, took a couple of paces back. Then, a look of understanding crossing his face, he sheathed his sword and allowed himself to relax. "Well then." He said, voice echoing slightly in the large cave.
